Gun Control: We’re not that far apart

As I watch the media coverage of today’s national school walkout I can’t help but wonder, does anyone realize we’re all fighting for the same thing in very different ways? Children across the country walked out of their classes at for 17 minutes at 10 am today, some urged by parents, teachers and entire school districts. Both as a moment of silence for those lost in the recent shooting and as a call for gun control. I can’t blame children for being upset, who wants to worry about being slaughtered in school? How many felt pressured into it? Whether...

Guilty Until Proven Innocent

Here for the update?  Click here! 2:40 pm Monday, January 24th, 2018 I received a call from my girlfriend Brittany White, however, it wasn’t her on the other end of the phone. It was a trooper with the Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP) informing me that she had been placed under arrest and I had 10 minutes to take possession of her car, or it would be impounded. I was in disbelief, if you know Brittany you struggle to imagine what she could have possibly done to be arrested, she’s a hard-working young woman with two jobs and is attending...

We Became Trespassing Terrorists Today

January 19, 2018 Myself and long time friend were standing on public property along Mill street yesterday (literally 2 feet off the road in plain sight) filming aircraft landing in the wind. It’s a pretty amazing thing to watch as planes come in sideways. We’re both recognized and globally published photographers/videographers. We did nothing suspicious, nothing abnormal and were questioned like criminals for standing on dirt everyone in America owns. We’re strong police supporters, these two don’t represent the overwhelming majority of officers. Seemingly we were the first two individuals in the history of aviation to have recorded images of...

Why buying an electric car still doesn’t make sense (for most of us)

I’ll be the first to admit; I’d love a shiny new Tesla Model S charging in my garage in an attempt to save myself the agony of filling up my large truck. For many this is the case, we drive larger less efficient vehicles for many reasons. After a while, the allure of a new vehicle wears off and the lack of fuel efficiency and overall cost of ownership have many looking to alternatives. I currently drive a large diesel Ram 3500 Mega Cab Dually and average a whopping 13mpg (ouch!). We tow a large RV often being a...

Excluding Discount Codes on Sale Items in Shopify

How to eliminate discounting items that are already on sale in Shopify. Shopify does NOT have a built in way to eliminate items that are ‘on sale’ from having discounts (coupon codes) be applied to them.  I shared the video with Shopify support and in the interim they’ll be using it as a workaround for anyone else that has a similar issue.  I imagine they will be able to implement a much easier solution involving a checkbox in each discount code: Once you’ve completed the steps outlined in the video remember the following (assuming you used the same tags/category...
